Spring Cleaning

Tue Mar 31, 2009, 8:26 AM
I took a look at my older drawings and paintings and it dawned at me that my standards have somewhat... changed. So I applied my current demands to all those pieces and left only those which meet the criteria. 100 out of 150 didn't make it and waved bye bye. It was relieving. Don't miss them, there'll be more.

  • Mood: Relief

No i popatrz to Panie Owca jaki ten świat mały, szperam sobie po necie i natrafiam na Milka Jakubca jako autora rysunku Sully Erna. Wchodzę wiec na profil i co.... i widzę ten twój k...a wredny, szeroki uśmiech:), czapeczkę z daszkiem i kaptur na głowie, czyli Pan Miłosław Jakubiec in a nutshell. Co tam u Ciebie? Kupę lat nie mieliśmy już kontaktu, How's life treatin ya?
3m sie!

Hehe ciesze sie ze chociaz taki wplyw na ciebie mialo nasze 2 lata mieszkania razem w akademiku, jednak ciezko mi sobie wyobrazic ciebie lezacego, roztrzesionego i twoja kobiete glaskajaca cie CZULE (!!!!) i szepczaca uspokajajace slowka;).
Mowisz, ze wypoczywasz na wegrzech? A zajezdzasz jeszcze od czasu do czasu do naszego pieknego kraju nad Wisla? Jakbys wpadl kiedys to daj znac przypomnimy sobie stare dobre czasy :D.
Pozdro silne yo
No to gratulacje! Cieszę sie z waszego szczęścia i życzę wszystkiego naj!

Właśnie wróciłem z wakacji, w Gorzowie też byłem, ale tylko na kilka dni. Potem byliśmy u Pyrów i u Krakusów a potem u Madziarów.

W sumie to podaj maila albo skypa to sobie popiszemy tak, zamiast sie tu pierdolic :)

No właśnie miałem to samo zaproponować (gg - 8289899, mail - Ajgor_23@wp.pl, skype - ajgor24). Czekam na odzew hehehe
Hey whats up dude!
Its fred, from Lavander Hill classes.
How are you doing?
By the way, awesome faces ahn!!!
Cheers.
Freddy, man! Nice to hear from you! I'm all right, I haven't touched oils since LH, but have been messing around with acrylics and pencils. Other than that I bought a tablet and mainly do stuff in Photoshop nowadays. My life is pretty much the same. How's shit on your end? Still in the big bad city? ;)

Wazzap!
Nice to hear from you too.
Well, I've tried a couple things in oils, but I'm pretty much using the same process we learnt to paint with photoshop.
I liked a lot your new stuff.
Those illustrations are great, specially that guy with a bow, really good. I also bought a tablet and I'm downloading few tutorials that are helping a lot. You should download them as well.
By the way, I have a good recommendation.
Do you a book from a guy called George Bridgeman? Awesome for anatomy and figure. I'm studying it a lot! Great stuff!

And no, I'm not living in the "big bad city" anymore. hehehehe
Enough of working as porter or bartender in Pubs.
I'm back to Rio (not exactly a good city as well).
But I came to study harder with more freedom since I don't have to work here.
I think I'll try US this time since there is the Mecca of illustration. But not until reach a certain level of my skills. And you, still in Oxford? What are your plans?
Cheers! =D
You don't have to work? Shit, maybe I should start learning Portugese ;) Good to hear you have time to improve, good luck, I added you to my watch list, so keep updating, I'd love to have a look.

I got an email from Ann the other day, about the summer courses coming up. Man, I miss that atmosphere, but no dice this year, I can't fork up 2 grand again like last year.

Thanks for recommendation. I'll check the guy out, I heard that name before. I've been reading A. Loomis's book on drawing heads and hands(pretty good) and Classica Drawing and Painting Atelier, cool books, made me miss last summer as well.

Good luck with your American Dream plan, I hope you find what you're looking for there. Just watch out for rednecks and Britney Spears.

Hehee!
Brazil is a good place to be a lazy bastard. Cheap "everything" (but electronics) and warm weather. OK, maybe too warm sometimes. With 3 grand you could live here comfortably, without working, for almost 6 months sharing a nice, 2 bedroom, near the beach, apartment. To be a foreigner is a plus to pick up girls also.
And no, I'm not talking about living in city of god or anywhere else such horrible as that place surrounded by black criminals.
hehehehe

But here my parents pays my bills. I just have to keep myself in a low profile and I have plenty of time to study.

I received that same email from Ann, and yeah, I also miss that time, but money is a problem to me as well.
It is amazing how time goes fast. Almost an year since we left the course.

Loomis book is amazing. To me it is, with bridgeman's, the essential must have book for any aspiring illustrator.
I'm downloading some tutorials from a website called massive black. You can find it on emule, but they are very cheap and if you like it I'd encourage you to buy at least one. They are AWESOME!

The American plan is not going to happen soon. I'd have to be able to work as an illustrator before. But I cant wait to be able to buy my own cheap 70s V8 muscle car and lots of firearms.
Cheers
